Dashboards and boards
The executive dashboard, module boards, and what the numbers on a tile actually count.
A dashboard is a set of tiles and charts over the same key figures the reports use. That is what makes a tile worth trusting: it is not a separate query somebody wrote for the dashboard, it is the same definition, so a tile and a report cannot disagree.
- Every tile carries its currency mark, including the compact form — a tile reading 4.2m is the same ambiguity as an unmarked table in less room and read faster.
- Tiles drill. Taking a figure opens the records behind it, narrowed the way the tile was.
- Everything on a board obeys the company and business-unit switcher, so a board is answering for the entity you are standing in.
Peer benchmarks
Where a board shows a benchmark against peers, read what the screen says about where the figure comes from. A benchmark is context, not a measurement of your business, and the platform says so on the panel rather than letting a comparison imply more precision than it has.
