Broadcasts
Every send, with what became of it. The rates are over what was DELIVERED rather than what was sent: an open rate over sends counts the bounces as people who did not open, which flatters a bad list and punishes a clean one.

The form
What is asked for when a record is created here. Required fields are marked; a choice drawn from a configuration list is one an administrator can extend without a release.
| Field | Type | Choices | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Code required | Text | ||
| Name required | Text | ||
| Local name | Text | ||
| Campaign | Choice | Looked up from existing records | |
| What it is for | Long text | ||
| Subject required | Text | ||
| Local subject | Text | ||
| Preview text | Text | The line under the subject in an inbox. Left empty, most clients show the first line of the body, which is usually "view in browser". | |
| Message | Long text | ||
| Plain text version | Long text | ||
| Local message | Long text | ||
| Template | Choice | Looked up from existing records | |
| Link | Text | ||
| Audience | Choice | Looked up from existing records | |
| Consent purpose | Text | Consent is checked again immediately before the send. An audience built on Monday and sent on Thursday can contain somebody who unsubscribed on Tuesday. | |
| Send at | Date and time | ||
| Time zone | Text | ||
| Most a minute | Number | A corporate mail server sending forty thousand messages an hour is on a blocklist by lunchtime. | |
| Notes | Long text | ||

The rules that apply here
Everything on this screen obeys the platform rules rather than rules of its own. The ones worth knowing before you use it:
- Narrowing a list — search, conditions, sort, totals, export and saved views.
- What may be changed — the five grounds a record may not be edited on.
- Companies and business units — what the switcher above this list is doing to it.
- Creating a record — required fields, where choices come from, and how the number is allocated.
- Importing a spreadsheet — this screen accepts one, and it runs through the same rules as typing.
