Questions the console asks, record counts and dates
Every confirmation and message is the console’s own dialog — Esc cancels, Enter confirms — a list says its record count once, dates follow your own date format, and opening ASK no longer rearranges the page.
Confirmations and messages
When the console asks “Delete this record?”, tells you something went wrong, or asks for a reason, it does so in its own dialog — never the browser’s. It is drawn in your theme, in your language, mirrored for Arabic and Urdu, and as a sheet from the bottom on a phone.
| Key | What it does |
|---|---|
| Esc | Cancel — the same as the Cancel button. |
| Enter | Confirm (OK). If you have moved to a button with Tab, Enter presses that button, so Enter on Cancel cancels. |
| Tab | Moves between the dialog’s buttons and fields only; the page behind is out of reach until you answer. |
- Clicking outside the dialog does not dismiss it — a question about deleting something is not one to answer by accident.
- When it closes, you are back where you were.
- Leaving a form with changes you have not saved asks “Leave this form and lose them?” with Leave and Stay. Leave carries on with what you pressed; Stay keeps you on the form.
- Two questions at once are asked one after the other, not stacked.
Closing the browser tab with unsaved changes still shows the browser’s own warning; that one cannot be replaced.
Since 17 October every pop-up window — a record form, a side panel, Run MRP — can be maximized from its title bar and resized from its corner, and remembers its size; small confirmation dialogs like these have none. See Maximizing and resizing a pop-up.
One record count
A list with a pager says how many records there are once, in the footer — “1–50 of 1,284 records” — rather than in the bar above as well. A list with no pager keeps the count in the bar.
Dates in your own format
Every date and time on screen follows the date format and time zone in your preferences, wherever you are and whatever your browser is set to — including the documents panel, signatures and drive files, which used to show the browser’s own format. Change the format under your name → preferences.
ASK beside the page
Pinning ASK open no longer rearranges the module: the side menu stays (folding to its icon rail where ASK leaves the page narrow, without changing your own choice), and the rail on a module’s home page stays beside the sections, narrower, rather than dropping below them.
