Your preferences
The settings behind your name in the top bar, and why they change every figure on every screen.
Every user maintains their own settings from their name in the top bar.

These are not merely stored. Every figure and date in the application is rendered through them: change the decimal format and the dashboard, the tables, the reports and the detail pages all follow. A preview on the preferences page shows the effect before you save.
Preferences are held per user per company, because the module links point at company-scoped master data — a cost centre or employee from another company is refused. Somebody working in two companies keeps a separate set for each.
Users maintain their own; administrators may maintain anybody’s. Every change is audited. The option lists themselves are ordinary configuration, so a new printer or time zone is a configuration entry rather than a code change.
Every email from TRANXACT has an Unsubscribe button. The Unsubscribe card in My Preferences lists your own addresses as Receiving email or Unsubscribed, with Unsubscribe and Turn email back on. See Unsubscribe from email, and Email Suppressions.
Appearance
Density, text size and whether the navigation runs across the top or down the side are personal settings too. The text-size dial scales the interface as a whole rather than one rule in one stylesheet, so nothing is left behind at the largest setting.
The theme is yours as well: Light, Dark, Midnight, Sepia or High contrast, or System to follow your device. Cards, tiles and tables sit on a page one shade back from them and carry a soft shadow, so the working surface stands out from what is behind it; High contrast swaps the shadows for solid black outlines. The bar at the top is translucent, so a page scrolling under it stays in view.
Personalize → Typeface and size offers seven typefaces. Atkinson Hyperlegible (low vision) is drawn by the Braille Institute so that letters easily confused — I, l and 1; O and 0; b, d, p and q — are told apart. Whichever you choose, text keeps its contrast, can be enlarged to twice its size with the text-size dial without anything being cut off, and keeps its line and letter spacing, as WCAG 2.1 AA asks. Typefaces that would not meet those rules are not offered.
Putting things in order
Personalize arranges the modules and the tiles on each module’s home. Drag a row by its handle, or use the four buttons at its end: to the top, up one, down one, to the bottom. The buttons work from the keyboard and with a screen reader, which reads each as, for example, "Move to the top: Supply Chain". A list of more than eight has a find box above it: type part of a name to show only the matches, then send one to the top or the bottom in a single press.
The main tiles of a module’s home
Main tiles are the large tiles on a module’s home page, each holding a group of screens — the section cards, and on the larger modules the tabs above them. Under Personalize → Main tiles, choose a module and put the ones you work in every day at the top.
- Open Personalize and, under Main tiles, choose the module.
- Drag the tabs and the section cards into your order, or use the move buttons. The first tab is where the module opens.
- Clear Show on a tile you never open. It disappears from that module’s home for you.
- Under Tiles inside each main tile, arrange the screens within a section the same way. A screen moves within its own section, because that is how the home page groups them.
- Hiding a tile removes the tile, not the permission. The screens in it stay reachable by search and by link, and anybody else’s console is unchanged.
- While something is hidden, the module’s home says so: Show hidden (N) draws what you hid, faded, until you press Hide them again; and Arrange this page opens Personalize on that module.
- The arrangement is yours alone and is kept per company, like the rest of Personalize.
Only the languages you use
Under Personalize → Languages, tick the languages your language picker should offer and clear the rest. English, and the language you are reading now, are always offered, so nothing here can leave you unable to change back. Offer every language puts the whole list back.
An administrator can set the languages offered by default to everybody in the company who has not chosen their own, under Company branding at the foot of Personalize. It is a default, not a restriction: each person can still choose any language.
Movement in the console — tiles lifting, dialogs settling, pages arriving — is short and is switched off entirely when your device or Personalize asks for reduced motion. Nothing depends on it.
Camera and microphone
The console asks before it switches either on — the camera for reading barcodes, the microphone for talking to ASK — in its own words, saying where the picture or the sound goes. Personalize → Camera and microphone shows what you have agreed to on this device and since when, with Withdraw beside each. Withdrawing does not switch anything off that is already off; it means the next use asks you again.
