Country compliance is part of Accounting
India’s screens, the US Sales Tax Wizard and the ZATCA screens are all in Accounting → Close & Compliance. Since 13 October 2026 a country’s screens appear for a company that operates in that country, not only one headquartered there. Old addresses still work.
A return a company owes a government is governance over its books, so the screens that prepare one now sit in Accounting, beside the ledger they are worked out from. Only the place in the menu moved: every screen holds what it held, and every role opens exactly what it opened before.
| What | Where it was | Where it is now | Who sees it |
|---|---|---|---|
| India’s screens (India Registration, GST, GST Returns, UPI Collection, Statutory Payroll, TDS) | The India Compliance module, a tab of its own; from 12 to 13 October the India Compliance group in Accounting | Accounting → Close & Compliance | A company that operates in India |
| India’s GST tax codes | India Compliance → GST → GST Tax Codes | Accounting → Close & Compliance → GST → GST Tax Codes (/accounting/gst-tax-codes), beside Accounting’s own Tax Codes | A company that operates in India |
| Sales Tax Wizard, Tax Registrations, Filing Calendar, Tax Periods, Tax Findings, By Jurisdiction | CRM → Indirect Tax → Registrations & Returns | Accounting → Close & Compliance → Registrations & Returns | A company under US sales tax only |
| ZATCA (Saudi e-invoicing) screens | Accounting → Working Capital → E-invoicing | Accounting → Close & Compliance → E-invoicing | A company that operates in Saudi Arabia |
- A bookmark or a link to an old address (/india, /india/<screen>, /crm/tax-…) opens the same screen in its new place, with the record, the filters and the search it carried.
- The Roles screen lists the India grant as Accounting › Close & Compliance (India), directly under Accounting, and marks CRM’s tax grants as drawn in Accounting. Nothing was re-granted and no role gained or lost a screen.
- Somebody whose role names India and not Accounting (the India Payroll Compliance Officer, for example) is given the Accounting tab in a company that operates in India, so the India sections are still reachable.
- A company that does not operate in India never sees the India sections, and the Sales Tax Wizard is not drawn for a company in India, Saudi Arabia, the UAE or the United Kingdom.

Where a company operates, not only where it is headquartered
Since 13 October 2026 a country’s compliance screens follow where a company operates. A company headquartered in the United States with an office in India, or a branch in Riyadh, is shown the screens it needs there.
| A company operates in | When | Then these screens appear |
|---|---|---|
| India | Its own country is India, or it has an active location or active org unit in India, or a GST registration | GST, e-invoice, e-way bill, TDS, statutory payroll and UPI |
| Saudi Arabia | Its own country is Saudi Arabia, or it has an active location or active org unit there, or ZATCA is switched on | ZATCA Phase 2, GOSI, WPS and end of service |
- The screens still appear only for people whose roles grant them. Nothing is granted automatically: an administrator grants the India screens to the company’s roles on Platform › Access › Roles (Accounting › Close & Compliance (India)).
- The fields on a document — the GSTIN, the Saudi invoice type and VAT category — still follow the company’s own country.
- India’s reference data (tax codes, TDS sections, rates, number ranges) is set up for a company that operates in India.
- Remove (make inactive) the last location or org unit in the country, with no registration left, and the screens close for that company within about 30 seconds.
