What changed (late September 2026)
The license and data meter, backups of your own data and the platform’s, totals in the company’s currency, a company’s people brought together in CRM, messages you can close, working beside ASK — and at the end of the month, 360° on every line, purchase orders that re-route when they change, spare fields ready to use, imports that recognize a file, and Personalize for the main tiles and languages; and, last, purchase orders that always carry an organizational unit and go for approval when created, approvers named as the person, rules that re-route open orders when they change, copies judged like new documents, and an ASK that confirms every change.
New screens
- Platform → Operations → License: License & Metering and Backups, each its own grant. See The license and the data meter, and Backups of your own data.
Totals
- Lists, report tables, KPI and cube drill-downs and exports total in the company’s currency. A row in another currency shows "≈" and its converted amount; a row with no rate is left out and the total says how many. See Totals in the company’s currency.
- Only money and quantities are totalled. Dates, document and item numbers, years, periods, percentages, averages, rates and scores no longer carry a total.
- Order Profitability and Order Cost Projection state revenue and cost in the company’s currency.
CRM
- A lead’s Contacts lists the person named on the lead and the people on other leads for the same company or web address, each with where it is recorded.
- Accounts have a Contacts section: add, edit and delete them on the account.
- Country and State / province are dropdowns on leads, lead contacts, accounts and prospects; the state list follows the country. Lead owner and Ownership type are dropdowns too.
- SIC and NAICS codes appear only for a lead in the United States, Canada or Mexico, or one that already holds a code.
- A value imported before a field became a list is shown on Edit instead of blank.
Later in the release
- Messages: every success, error and warning message has an X that closes it, reachable from the keyboard. A success message fades after a few seconds; an error or a warning stays until you close it or a newer one replaces it; and a new message always shows, even if you closed the one before. See Getting started → Messages, and closing them.
- ASK: with the panel open, the page lays itself out for the space beside it — on a tablet such as an iPad Pro, and in Arabic with the panel on the left — and Edit forms, dialogs and the Find palette open beside the panel instead of underneath it. In a narrow window the panel is full width. The service account, drive and attachment dialogs open as proper dialogs. See ASK → Working with the panel open.
- License & Metering: Persistent disk always shows the database’s real size; it could read 0 before. Backup data has two parts, Backups taken here and Backups taken by the platform: the backups the database service takes before each release, each of the whole instance, metered for this installation’s share and listed read-only. If the provider’s list cannot be read, the screen says so. See Backups of your own data → Backups taken by the platform.
- Reports that mix counts, rates and money in one table — EHR Clinical Quality and Population Health, Student Lifecycle Institutional Analytics — show each figure as what it is, and a column that mixes kinds is not totalled. See Totals in the company’s currency.
- Hiring requests: the person who raised a request sees its approval trail on the request itself, as do the hiring manager and the approvers; it gives nobody the right to approve. A level that names the person who raised the request is shown as Skipped and the request moves on. See Sending a requisition for approval → A hiring request works the same way.
- Positions have a Grade field, and the Positions list shows it. Grade lists read "code — name", on Positions and on Hiring Requisitions.
- Edit at the top of a document such as a sales order shows the record’s own details — number, customer, items, date, currency — above the few fields that can still change, and says that lines are edited in the lines section. See Documents, headers and line items → Edit on the header.
- Manufacturing: rows on Order Cost Projection, Production Order Cost and Order Profitability open their records, read-only. Change the production order, and they follow.
At the end of the month
- 360° on every line: each line of a document grid has a 360° button that opens the line in a panel beside the grid — Configuration, Bill of material (per unit and for the line), Process (operations, work centers and times), Cost, Item (stock), Documents and Linked records. A tab appears only when there is something behind it and you may open the screen it links to. See The 360° view → 360° on a line.
- Back to where you started: every link out of a 360° view carries a "Back to" bar that returns to the same record, with the same panel open on the same tab, scrolled where you left it. The browser’s Back works too. See The 360° view → Back to where you started.
- Configure a Product shows what the product is made of, how it is made and what it costs while the options are being chosen, worked out by the same rules a production order uses; nothing is saved until the configuration is resolved. A resolved configuration offers Make a production order. See Which parts a configured product is built from → Watching it take shape.
- Production orders: New production order takes a Configuration. Without one, a configurable product gets only its standard parts. The Components tab’s picker lists the configured product’s options first — the chosen one, the alternatives, the parts rules add, the bill of material — then everything else.
- Purchase orders: the business unit can be set with Edit, the company as a whole included. Changing the unit, supplier, currency, rate or lines of an order that is waiting for or already has its approval routes it again, and says so; once goods are received those can no longer change. See Who approves a purchase order, and who is told.
- "In base" on purchase orders is now "Total in company currency (approval limits)": the figure approval rules judge, and the order shows how it was worked out.
- Approvers are named as people — "Chief Executive: Jane Doe (CEO, Head Office)" — and approval rules and levels have a Held by column. The Organization Chart has Show approvers.
- Copy on approval: each purchase order approval rule lists who is told when an order is approved, and why — a role, a person, the requester, their manager, a unit head, the supplier or an email address. The order shows who will be, or was, copied, and whether the message went.
- ASK shows what it would create and waits for Confirm, or a plain yes, before it makes any record. Asked to change a record, it changes that record instead of making another. See ASK → Nothing changes until you confirm.
- Additional fields: all ten spare fields are on every screen, hidden by default. Show one on a list from the Columns menu, under Additional fields; switch one on for yourself in a form under More fields. Renaming one under Platform → Customization → Additional Fields is optional. See Additional fields.
- Imports: a template downloaded from any screen maps itself and imports. A number the screen gives from its own range is set aside, with the reason. A reference field says what it is looked up in. A file imported before is recognized, and rows that match a record already here are added only if new (the default), updated, merged into empty fields, or all added as new, matched on the column you choose. See Importing a spreadsheet.
- Personalize: the main tiles of each module’s home — the section cards and the tabs above them — can be put in your order and hidden; Show hidden (N) and Arrange this page appear on the page. Keep only the languages you use in the picker; an administrator can set the company’s default. See Your preferences.
Last update of the month
- Purchase orders: Organizational unit is required on New purchase order, filled in from the unit chosen in the top bar, or else from your own unit in HRMS, and it can be changed with Edit on the order. Every order has one — copies, orders raised from a requisition, orders ASK creates and imported orders too — so no order can miss the approval rule meant for it. Approval rules have an Organizational unit field of their own.
- A purchase order is sent for approval as soon as it is created. Submit for approval is still there, to send it again.
- Who approves: the buyer’s reporting line in HRMS first, then the person named on the rule, and the role only as a last resort. PO Approvals (with new Position and Who can act columns), the Approvals panel on the order and My approvals name the approver as a person — "Jane Doe, Chief Executive Officer". An approver with no sign-in is still named. (Since 29 September the level waits for that person and nobody acts in their place — see What changed (29 September 2026).)
- Changing an approval rule — its approver, levels, amount or unit — or deleting it routes every open order still awaiting approval again. The old requests stay in the history as withdrawn because the rule changed, newly covered orders are sent for approval, approved orders stay approved, and the save message lists the orders routed again. See Who approves a purchase order, and who is told → Changing an approval rule.
- Copying a purchase order, requisition, quotation, sales order or invoice works out every line and the company-currency total ("In base") as a new document would, so the copy goes to the same approvers. Documents that showed In base 0 have been corrected.
- ASK answers in plain business language, without system addresses, internal identifiers or field names, and its own behind-the-scenes retries are no longer shown as failed steps; Show technical detail keeps the raw detail for support.
- ASK asks before any change — create, update, delete, submit, approve, copy or an approval rule — listing what it will do by document number and value under "ASK will do this only when you confirm:". Several changes are confirmed once; Cancel leaves everything as it was. "How do I…?" is answered with steps and changes nothing, and "who approves PO-000123?" is answered from the order’s own approval routing. See ASK → Nothing changes until you confirm.
