Overdue gauges taken out of use, requisition warehouses by unit, lists that say they are loading, late fees, automatic early alerts, assignment submissions, personnel actions, status wording and the side menu’s scroll; and later that day, imports and ASK in the selected company, number ranges for every company, late fees only on ticked bills, and the personnel action 360° view, pickers and cancel reason.
Manufacturing
- Gauges: a gauge past its calibration date is quarantined and out of use as soon as it is saved (and by the daily calibration job). It cannot be edited back to active while overdue, and no measurement can be recorded against a gauge out of use (overdue, quarantined, in repair, out at calibration or retired). A passing Calibrate puts it back in use. The Gauges list shows Calibration, Use and Why out of use. Inspections raised from a plan carry the plan’s gauge.
Supply Chain
- New requisition: the warehouse picker offers only the warehouses the requisition’s unit may use (the unit in the top bar, else the requester’s own), and the location’s warehouse is filled in only when that unit may use it.
Every list
- A list says Loading while it is being read. If the read fails it says so, with Try again (and says the system is busy when that is the reason). "Nothing here yet" and the record count appear only after a read that really found nothing.
Student Lifecycle
- Fee Schedule: Late fee: charged after (days overdue) is saved, and required for a Late fee.
- A bill paid late is charged the school’s late fee once, with the receipt, and the receipt says so. See Fees past due: the warning, the late fee and the hold.
- Early alerts from attendance and overdue fees are raised automatically, against the thresholds in Alert Rules, and catch up when their screens are opened. See Early alerts that raise themselves.
- Assignments: a submission is taken only from a student enrolled in the assignment’s section, and its score must be between 0 and the assignment’s Points. Points cannot be lowered below a score already given. The form offers the section’s students and bounds the score.
HRMS
- Personnel actions: From and To values, the Approvals panel and history, the reason and the cancel or reject reason on the record; a New manager who has left, has not started, is the employee or already reports to them is refused; whoever asked for an action cannot approve it. See Promotions, transfers and pay changes.
Everywhere
- The note on a record that cannot be edited is worded for its status: finished and waiting records are no longer told to reverse or cancel them.
- The side menu keeps its scroll position as you move between pages, and keeps the module you are in in view.
Later on 12 October (release 20261012b)
A follow-up release the same day put right the following.
Records are made in the company selected in the top bar
- An import lands every row in the company selected in the top bar when it was started, and in the unit picked beside it. Before, the rows could be made in your home company while the import said every row had landed. See Importing a spreadsheet.
- The same holds for what ASK makes or looks up for you, for a standing instruction (it runs in the company it was saved in) and for accepting an agent's result (made in the company the result belongs to).
- A save aimed at a company you cannot work in is refused, with "You cannot work in that company, so nothing was saved", instead of being made in your home company. Pick a company you have access to in the top bar and try again. An import row refused this way says so.
Numbers from the company's own range
- A company with no number range for a record (a company created outside Platform, Companies, or whose set-up stopped part-way) is given that range the first time it numbers one, copied with its counter at 1. Raising a ticket or a customer there no longer fails for want of a range.
- The number field on a new record follows the company's range: system generated, it is not asked for and says Assigned on save; manually entered, it is required; either, it is optional and a blank one is numbered. New Account no longer demands an account number the company then refuses. See Creating a record, The document number.
Student Lifecycle
- Overdue Student Bills: Charge late fees and holds acts only on the bills ticked in the list. It is greyed, and says to tick the rows first, until one is; then it shows how many and asks once for all of them, naming any bill that refuses. The scheduled late-fee job still charges every overdue bill. See Fees past due: the warning, the late fee and the hold.
HRMS: personnel actions
- The 360° view lists each person once by the part they play (Employee, Previous manager, New manager), with number and name. A record outside this company is listed as Not a record of this company, and the view is still drawn.
- The Employee and New manager pickers show name, employee number and position, so two people of the same name can be told apart. The list shows From manager no. and To manager no.
- Cancel requires a reason; a blank one is refused. See Promotions, transfers and pay changes.
13 October: accounting firms reach your books only through Accountant Access
An accounting firm working from the CPA product (cpa.tranxact.ai) or the CA product (ca.tranxact.ai) can no longer create an account for its client, or create sign-ins in a client’s system. A client signs up for their own system and decides what their firm may see: Platform › External Accountants › Accountant Access makes a pairing code, one per company, and the client sends that code to the firm. The firm pastes it under Connect a client’s system. A key typed in by the firm is refused, a read-only code cannot be widened to posting, and the firm’s access-grant screen can end or narrow a grant but cannot create one or switch one back on.
