What changed (7 October 2026)

Line items take the whole width of every form again, and the ZATCA test findings: drafts never hold a final number, only ZATCA layouts print, a ZATCA e-invoice format, credit-note checks and headers that fit.

Line items on every form

  • The lines of a purchase order, requisition, invoice, order, journal or any other document take the whole width of the form again, with every column visible; they had been squeezed into one narrow column with a scrollbar.

ZATCA

  • Under ZATCA no AR draft holds a number from the issued series: drafts made before the switch are renumbered DRAFT- when it is switched on (and by a one-time data fix), and any path writing a series number on a draft is caught by the database.
  • Numbers given up by such drafts are recorded in acct.zatca_number_voids and in the draft's history, so the gap in the issued series is explained; counters never move back.
  • AR invoices and notes of a ZATCA company print only on ZATCA forms; plain forms are not listed and are refused by name.
  • The ZATCA form's column headers are bilingual inside the table and wrap or shrink to fit; 'Taxable' and 'VAT cat.' no longer overlap.
  • Credit notes: the cap counts every live note against the invoice (drafts included) again at posting; a likely duplicate (same customer, invoice, amount within 7 days) needs Create anyway with a reason.
  • A credit or debit note posted from the invoice list is posted as a note, not as an invoice.
  • E-invoicing gains the ZATCA format (UBL 2.1, Phase 2 structure) for Saudi profiles, with ICV/PIH chaining, KSA rule checks and download; not stamped, not cleared; the Fatoora adapter is an untested stub.
