What changed (29 September 2026)
Approvals that follow the HRMS hierarchy, date filters on every date column, page controls on every list, a filter editor that reads as a sentence, search on every column, amounts in their own currency, Goods Receipts with serial numbers, purchase orders from what sourcing awarded, depreciation posted once a month, leavings planned ahead, and more.
Later on 29 September
- Lists: the record count sits at the end of the search and filter bar; the filter and the table are one panel; the sorted column shows ▲ or ▼ and every sortable heading a faint ↕; an empty cell is always a dash; numbers lose meaningless zeros (10.000000 is 10); a search or filter that finds nothing says so, with Clear filter; a link past the last page opens page 1.
- Tick records and choose Edit selected… to set one field to one value on all of them, each through its own save, so every rule and permission applies; refused records are named afterwards.
- A row with a required field left empty carries a small "!"; hover it to see which.
- History in a row’s ⋯ menu opens the audit trail of that one record, for people who may read the audit log.
- Criticality and severity pills have their own colours: Critical red, Major orange, Minor yellow.
- Percentages never show a bare "%": a figure that cannot be worked out shows —, zero shows 0.00%.
- Inspection Characteristics: Gauge, R&R % and Charted always say something — "No gauge", "No study", "Not charted" when nothing is recorded; sample size is a whole number.
- More fields explains that the ten are spare fields your company can name, with a Name these fields link for administrators.
- Raise a ticket: click the paste box and press Ctrl+V to attach a screenshot; the Open / Waiting on you / Resolved / Closed cards update at once.
- My approvals: Coming to you lists what will reach you once earlier levels sign.
- Email fields accept only a valid address; OEE Periods has Compute OEE on the screen itself.
Approvals
- The approver at each level is the employee HRMS names: the buyer’s manager, then theirs, for as many levels as the rule asks; the person named on the rule only when there is no reporting line; the role only when neither gives anybody. Whether the person can sign in does not change who it is. The same holds for requisitions and hiring requests.
- An approver with no sign-in yet: the level waits for them, and the screens say "<name> is the approver HRMS names and has no sign-in yet, so this waits for them". Nobody else can decide it in their place — no role holder, no other named person — only an administrator. Link a user on their employee record and it appears in their My approvals at once.
- Signatures still open that had been given to somebody "acting for" the approver were handed back to the employee by the update. See Who approves a purchase order, and who is told → An approver with no sign-in yet.
Lists
- Dates: is on, is not on, before, after, is between, is outside (the two dates in either order), in the last N days and is any of now work on every date and date-time column. A sort or filter that names a column by its heading ("Starts") is understood.
- Pages: every list shows "Page N of M", the range and the total, first, previous, next and last, a page number you can type, and Rows per page 25, 50, 100 or 200. The Agentic AI template (use case) list shows its count and page controls, and its sorting and filters work.
- The filter editor reads "Match ALL / ANY / NONE of these conditions". Groups are indented and labelled. "Not" is part of the condition: is not, does not contain, does not start with, is not on, is none of, is outside, is not empty. Apply, Cancel and Clear all; the filters in force are chips you can remove one by one.
- Search looks at every column shown on the list, case does not matter ("Terminated" finds terminated), and an amount can be typed as displayed ("210,000").
- See Narrowing a list.
Amounts, languages and titles
- Each amount shows in its own record’s currency — base pay in INR for an employee paid in INR. The total under a list names a currency only when every record in it shares that currency; mixed currencies are converted to the reporting currency and the total says so, with how many records had no rate. The label is the same on every page. See Amounts and their currency.
- Language columns show the language’s name ("Kannada", not "kn") on lists, records, reports and filters; language fields on forms are a pick-list of names.
- Module dashboard cards show Total · Active · Inactive where the list has an active flag — which is why "Active patients 903" and "Patients 904" differ by one inactive patient. Report column headings are in sentence case; module, section and screen titles in Title Case.
Supply Chain
- New screen: Supply Chain → Requisitions & Orders → Goods Receipts. A receipt shows who received it and every line: PO line, item, quantity, unit, lot, warehouse, bin, and the serial numbers recorded and missing.
- Register serials on a receipt line records serial numbers — typed, one per line or comma separated, with a lot per number if you like, or allocated from the item’s serial prefix by count — after posting too. Never more than the quantity received; a number already used for the item is refused. The units are under the receipt and in Supply Chain → Traceability → Serial Numbers, filterable by receipt and purchase order; Receipts and Serial numbers on a purchase order open them filtered. See Goods receipts, and the serial numbers of what came in.
- Approve → PO on a requisition that went to sourcing fills in the awarded supplier and orders at the awarded prices and quantities. It is refused, naming the event, until the event is awarded; lines awarded to different suppliers give one order per supplier; lines the winner did not quote go to the supplier you choose. See Sending a requisition for approval → Ordering what sourcing awarded.
Accounting
- Run monthly depreciation, and the ACCT-DEPRECIATION batch job, post once per asset per month. Running it again says when and under which journal the month was posted and posts nothing new; assets added since are charged; a closed period is refused. To redo a month, reverse its journal and run again. Duplicate journals posted before this fix remain and should be reversed. See Running monthly depreciation.
HRMS and hiring
- Terminate is for a leaving dated today or earlier, with a Type of leaving, and applies at once. A future leaving is recorded with Plan separation: the employee stays as they are, Scheduled change shows "Retires on …" or "Leaves on … (resignation)", Cancel scheduled change takes it back, and on the date it is applied automatically — hourly, and by the HR-EFFECTIVE-CHANGES batch job. Status then reads "retired" for a retirement, otherwise "terminated". Change status covers active, on leave and suspended only. See When an employee leaves.
- Applications from either end: Apply to a posting on an HRMS candidate, Add application on a job posting; in Talent & Contingent Workforce, Submit to a job order on a candidate and Add a candidate on a placement posting. See Putting a candidate forward for a job.
Manufacturing and configuration
- Order Cost Projection has a Profit status column — Loss, Low margin, Healthy — that can be filtered. A loss is red with a warning marker; a margin under the low-margin line (10% by default, under Runtime Settings → Manufacturing) is amber. See Totals in the company’s currency.
- A configured quotation line’s 360° shows the whole bill of material at every level, sub-assemblies and their parts, as a preview before the configuration is worked out. Answers on the product carry down to configurable sub-assemblies that ask the same question, unless answered differently by hand; a locked inheritance rule always applies the parent’s answer. See The 360° view → A configured quotation line, level by level.
Support and roles
- Ctrl+V pastes a screenshot onto a ticket wherever the focus is on the Raise a ticket form — or click the Screenshots or files box and press Ctrl+V. See Getting help → Pasting a screenshot.
- Every new action can be granted: Register serials (add or change on Goods Receipts, or add on Serial Numbers); Plan separation, Change status and Cancel scheduled change (change on Employees); Apply to a posting and Add application (add on Applications); Submit to a job order (add on Submissions). See Roles and permissions.
