Unsubscribe from email, and Email Suppressions
Every email carries an Unsubscribe button. An address that uses it is sent nothing by any company in the system, except a sign-in code or password reset the person asks for. Administrators see the list under Email Suppressions; re-subscribing needs a reason.
For anybody who gets our email
- Press Unsubscribe at the foot of the email (or your mail program’s own unsubscribe button).
- The page asks “Stop all email from TRANXACT to <address>?”. Opening it changes nothing; press Unsubscribe to confirm.
- “You are unsubscribed”: no more email is sent to that address from any company here.
- It covers every company in the system: notices, approvals, reminders, statements and campaigns.
- Still sent, because you ask for them yourself to get into your account: a password reset, a sign-in code, a second-step code, confirming your own email address, and the portal’s password reset and sign-in code. Such a message says so at its foot.
- Changed your mind? With a TRANXACT sign-in, turn email back on under My Preferences; otherwise ask the company that wrote to you to re-subscribe you.
In My Preferences
The Unsubscribe card lists your own addresses — your sign-in address and your Preferences email — as Receiving email or Unsubscribed. Unsubscribe (after a confirmation) or Turn email back on. No other address can be changed there.
For administrators: Platform › Email › Email Suppressions
- Tiles: Unsubscribed now, Last 30 days, Re-subscribed (30 days) and Stopped here (30 days), and one per source — the button in an email, the mail program’s one-click button, an administrator, a bounce, or the person in My Preferences.
- Unsubscribe an address adds one: the address, why (The person asked, The address bounces) and a reason.
- Open an address for its history and the messages it stopped in this company. Re-subscribe… sends it email again from every company, and needs a reason (who asked, and when). Both are audited.
- A message refused for an unsubscribed address shows on the outbox as suppressed with the date it unsubscribed, not as failed.
- Administrators have the screen by default; it can be granted under Roles & authorizations.
Re-subscribe only on the person’s own request, and write down how they asked. The list holds for every company in the system, so a re-subscribe affects them all.
