Ask: nothing changes without Confirm, dates your way, people by name, and Assigned to me
The server itself now refuses any change Ask makes without your Confirm, and a proposal cannot be forged or altered; dates are in your own format everywhere Ask shows them; a person can be named by full name or e-mail; and the Assigned to me tile on a list counts and opens the same records.
Nothing is changed without Confirm
- Every change Ask would make — create, change, delete, submit, approve, post, copy, cancel, change a rule, and now Pin to dashboard (“Put the tile "<label>" on your dashboard”) — is shown on a card with a Confirm button. Nothing runs until you press it.
- Since 19 October this is enforced by the server, not only by the panel: a change that reaches it without your confirmation is refused and nothing is changed.
- What waits for your Confirm is sealed for you in your company and is valid for 7 days. A proposal that was altered, forged, expired or made for somebody else carries out nothing.
- Ask tells you exactly what will change — the document number and each value from → to — before asking.
Dates in your format
Confirm cards, replies, hand-offs, standing answers, the summaries on Employee Self Service › Team Approvals and the filter chips on lists show dates and times in your own date format (for example <11/24/2026 9:00 AM>). A date with no time is shown as that day, never the evening before.
Naming people
- Any field that holds a person — assignee, technician, owner, approver, reviewer, inspector, interviewer, planner, a manager or supervisor — takes the person’s full name, e-mail or employee number. For example: “Assign <Maria Lopez> to <SO-000012>”.
- Ask never asks you for an id, and the Confirm card shows the name.
- When a name matches more than one person, nothing is changed: Ask lists who matched (up to five, with e-mail or employee number) and asks which. When nobody is called that, it says so and asks you to check the name or use the e-mail.
- Active people are preferred; a whole name typed as a first name is split into first and last name.
Assigned to me
- The Assigned to me tile above a list counts the still-open records assigned to you — to your sign-in or to you as an employee — and choosing it filters the list with the chip Assigned to me.
- The tile and the list now agree: before, a tile could say 1 and the list show nothing.
- More columns count as assigned: technician, and an employee who is the owner, approver, reviewer or responsible person.
IoT alert wording
An alert now reads “<PUMP-042> vibration read <7.4 mm/s>, above the threshold of <7.1 mm/s>” (or below the threshold, or outside the band); alerts and maintenance orders already raised were reworded.
How to reuse: replace each value in angle brackets with your own people, documents and readings.
