Alert Rules: the thresholds a school sets
Student Lifecycle, Alert Rules keeps the attendance thresholds and the fee-overdue days each school works to. A school's own rule wins over the company's; with no rule at all, the defaults apply.
- Minimum attendance (%) and Critical below (%): the attendance lines. The critical line cannot be above the minimum.
- Absences in a row: how many missed sessions in a row raise an alert on their own.
- Judge attendance after (sessions): how many sessions must be recorded before a percentage counts.
- Warn when fees are overdue by (days): blank means never warn.
- Place a hold when overdue by (days): blank (the default) means overdue fees never place a hold. The hold blocks registration unless you untick it, and can block transcripts and graduation as well.
- Open Student Lifecycle, Alert Rules, and press New.
- Choose the School (organizational unit) the rule is for, or leave it blank for the whole company.
- Set the thresholds and save. There is one rule per school and one for the whole company; change the existing one rather than adding a second.
The registrar keeps the rules; advisors can read them to see why an alert was raised.
