Why a button is not there

New, Edit, Delete, Copy and Import are shown only to somebody whose roles allow them on that screen.

A role grants each screen four ways: Add, Change, Display and Delete. The screens draw their buttons from the same grants: New, Copy and Import need Add; Edit, Edit selected and the line editor under a document need Change; Delete needs Delete. A button you are not allowed to use is not shown, rather than shown and refused after you have filled the form in.

On a list: New, Import, Template, Edit, Edit selected and Delete.
On a record: Edit, Copy, Add line, and Edit, Copy and Delete on its lines.
On the organization chart and in Custom Fields and Custom Logic: add, edit and delete are for administrators.
On the cost center hierarchy: +, Edit, drag-to-move and × follow the Cost Centers grants.

If a button you need is missing, your role does not grant it. Ask an administrator to add it on Administration › Roles; it appears the next time the screen opens.
