Ordering from a sourcing award, and approval cover that holds
Raise purchase order on an awarded sourcing event, MRP by sales order, approval delegations with limits and chains, and purchase orders that re-route when HRMS changes.
Raise purchase order from an award
- Open Supply Chain › Strategic Sourcing › Sourcing Events and the awarded event.
- Press Raise purchase order (Order what was awarded). Give an Exchange rate if the quote is in another currency.
- The order is raised from the winning response — supplier, prices, quantities, currency — open and routed for approval like any new order, once. The event shows Awarded to and Purchase order. An event raised from a requisition orders through that requisition.
MRP for a sales order
Sales Orders has Material requirements (MRP): Material Requirements Planning then shows the planning runs that planned for the order and every planned order pegged to it, components included. Planned Orders has a Sales order column and is searched by it. See Material Requirements Planning for a sales order.
Approval Delegations
- Supply Chain › Procurement Control › Approval Delegations. Up to is in the company’s currency: a document worth more stays with the person handing over. Empty means any amount.
- Why is required. Saving also hands the signatures already waiting on the person to the cover.
- One cover at a time for the same documents and dates; a cover who cannot sign in is refused.
- If the cover is away too, the approval is handed on to their cover, and the routing says so. Delegations also apply to a rule naming a single approver.
Routing by the reporting line
A reporting-line rule needs the buyer’s sign-in linked to their employee (Signs in as on the employee); no cost centre is needed. Linking it, or changing a manager on the Organization Chart, routes open purchase orders again, and the fallback signature is kept as withdrawn with the reason.
The organisation chart in figures
HRMS › People › Organization Chart opens on Organisation in figures — Headcount, Managers, Span of control, Open positions, Departments, Levels — and Headcount by department. Layout switches between Chart (boxes) and Outline (an indented structure, one line each), with Expand and Collapse.
