Who scheduled work runs as
Each company has an automation service account. Seeded schedules, scheduled and event workflows whose owner is an administrator, and document intake run as it; it cannot sign in and is never an administrator.
Scheduled work has nobody at a screen, so it runs as somebody. TRANXACT gives each company an automation service account for that. It cannot sign in, holds no password anybody knows, and holds one role, Automation (service account), which may only draft supplier invoices and sales orders (what document intake makes). It appears under Platform, Access, Service Accounts, and its role under Roles, where you may grant it more if you want unattended work to do more.
- The seeded schedules whose effect is safe (receivables aging, the expediting list, the onboarding chase, dunning, the pipeline sweep, cycle counts, probation reviews, period close readiness) are switched on to run as it.
- The leave accrual, the reorder proposal and the document check change records, so they are left for you to give a person to run as.
- A scheduled or event workflow runs as its owner; when the owner is an administrator it runs as the service account instead.
- A record workflow runs as the person who saved the record.
- An agent trigger whose agent runs as an administrator is refused, and the trigger says why. Choose a narrower person for the agent to run as.
