Send and receive EDI documents
Send via EDI from the order, delivery or invoice; receive a partner's file in the EDI Inbox and read the interchange log.
Send via EDI appears on purchase orders (850 or ORDERS), confirmed sales orders (855 or ORDRSP), deliveries and shipments (856 or DESADV) and AR invoices (810 or INVOIC).
- Open the document and press Send via EDI. The interchange is generated with the partner's next control numbers, checked, logged and handed to the connector.
- To receive a file, open EDI Inbox, paste the file or choose it, and press Check. Every fault is listed against its segment and nothing is saved.
- Press Receive. An 850 or ORDERS becomes a draft sales order, an 855 or ORDRSP updates the purchase order confirmation, an 856 or DESADV becomes an expected receipt, and an 810 or INVOIC becomes a supplier invoice draft.
- A 997 or CONTRL is sent back to the partner automatically when they ask for acknowledgements. A 997 they send for your document marks it accepted or rejected in the log.
- The same interchange received twice is refused as a duplicate and logged; nothing is created twice.
- A wrong segment count (SE01 or UNT) rejects that document and the acknowledgement tells the partner.
- Reprocess on an interchange creates the documents for sets that were held or failed once the cause is fixed, such as a missing item.
The sandbox connector never sends anything over a network. AS2 is sent unsigned and unencrypted; SFTP needs an SSH library this build does not include, so download the file and place it yourself.
