Acting on several records at once

Tick records in any list, then run an action, export them or delete them together.

Every list has a tick box at the start of each row, and one in the heading that ticks every record on the page. Ticks are kept as you page through the list.

• The bar above the list says how many are selected and offers what can be done to all of them at once: each action on that screen that needs no form (Convert, Approve, Release and the like, where the screen has them), Export selected (a spreadsheet of exactly those rows), and Delete if you may delete on that screen.
• Each record is judged on its own — a posted document that refuses deletion is reported by name, and the rest go ahead.
• An action that asks questions (a reason, a date, an amount) stays one record at a time, because the answers differ.
• What you may do is what your role allows on that screen, exactly as for one record.
