Who signs a change order, a drawing revision and a CAM program

A change order's review steps are given their approvers from the Change Board when the order is raised, as a change request's are. Nobody who raised the order, or a request it answers, signs it; a revision is not released by whoever drew it, nor a CAM program by whoever wrote it.

  • Raising a change order (Convert to a change order) opens its steps and gives each its approver from Manufacturing, Change Control, Change Board. Each approver is mailed and finds the step in My approvals.
  • Approve on a change order signs the first step waiting on you. It is refused to whoever raised the order and to whoever raised a change request it answers, administrators included; to anybody who is not the step's approver or their delegate; and, for a step showing No approver assigned, to everybody until Assign approvers gives it one.
  • Release on a drawing revision is its approval. It is refused to whoever drew or raised the revision, and to its checker; whoever releases it cannot name themselves as the checker.
  • Release on a CAM program sends it to the shop floor. It is refused to whoever wrote the program.
