Approving a payment proposal
A payment proposal is approved by somebody other than whoever prepared it before it is released, where the company requires it.
After Propose has filled the proposal with what is due, a second person opens it and chooses Approve. The person who ran Propose, or who created the proposal, cannot approve it. Release then builds the bank payment batch.
Whether Release waits for the approval is the company's own rule: Platform, Runtime Settings, Payments, A payment proposal must be approved before it is released. It is on by default. Switched off, a proposal may be released straight from draft.
