Fewer "the system is busy" messages when a screen opens
Opening a list screen asks the database fewer repeated questions at the same moment, so busy messages on lists such as purchase orders, requisitions and timesheets are less likely.
When a screen opens, the console sends several requests at once. Each of them used to read the company's settings separately whenever the short settings cache had just expired. Those requests now share one read, so a page load holds fewer database connections at the same time.
An upload whose file store is slow no longer holds a database connection while it waits, so other people's screens are not kept waiting behind it.
If "The system is busy, please try again in a moment" still appears, try again after a few seconds. An administrator can see how often it happens on the System Monitor screen.
