Invite suppliers and carriers to the supplier portal
Suppliers confirm orders, send ship notices and invoices, answer enquiries and book dock slots themselves.
- Open Supply Chain > Supplier Portal > Supplier Portal Users and press New. Choose supplier or carrier, the record they work for, their email and name.
- The invitation is emailed with a link that works for seven days. The link is also shown to you in case the email does not arrive.
- Tick Require a second step for anybody who should use an authenticator app. On cloud deployments everybody is asked anyway.
- Disable a person to end their session at once. Invite again sends a new link and cancels the old one.
- Suppliers see only their own purchase orders, notices, invoices and enquiries; a carrier sees dock bookings only.
- An invoice from the portal arrives as a draft with its PDF attached, for the three-way match. It is never posted from outside.
- Bank detail changes arrive under Supplier Change Requests. Approving one adds the account as pending verification; confirm it with the supplier on a number you already hold before paying into it.
Portal sign-ins can reach the portal and nothing else in the system, and staff sign-ins cannot use the portal.
