Dunning letters and automatic credit hold

Overdue customers are sent the letter for the level their invoice has reached, once per invoice per level, and after the number of days you choose they are put on credit hold.

  • Accounting, Finance Automation, Dunning Levels holds the letters: First reminder after 7 days, Second reminder after 30, Final notice after 60. Change the days and the wording; the wording may use {{customer}}, {{invoice_no}}, {{due_date}}, {{days_overdue}}, {{amount}}, {{currency}} and {{company}}.
  • Letters go to the email address on the customer's account, through the mail settings (Platform, Mail). A customer with no address, or mail that is switched off, is recorded on the letter.
  • Dunning Letters lists every letter sent. Run dunning now does what the weekly job does.
  • Credit hold after (days overdue), in Finance Automation Settings, is empty by default: no automatic hold. Set it and a customer with an invoice that late is put on credit hold on their credit profile, and sales orders are refused until it is released.
