Payroll is calculated on schedule, and waits for approval

The Payroll run job calculates each pay group whose pay period has ended and has no run yet, and stops there. The run waits for somebody other than the person it ran as to approve it; posting stays a person's act.

• It reads the pay periods under HRMS, Pay Setup. A group whose last period ended more than 45 days ago is not calculated.
• A pay period that already has a run is never calculated again.
• Nothing is approved, posted or paid by the job.
