A review step says No approver assigned
A step nobody could be given when the request was submitted shows No approver assigned and the reason, and nobody can sign it until it has an approver.
The submitter is told which steps have no approver, and why: for example nobody holds the role, only the person who raised the request holds it, the HRMS position is empty, or the named person has left. Since 22 October a request (or a change order) with a step nobody can be given is not submitted at all: the refusal names each such step and why, and says to set who signs it on the Change Board or give the role to somebody who did not raise it. A step can still lose its approver later (somebody leaves); the steps below put it right.
- Open Manufacturing, Change Control, Change Board and set who signs that step: choose Signed by (role, position or user) and the role, position or person. Somebody holding the Change Manager role or an administrator may change it.
- Open the change request and choose Assign approvers. Every step still showing No approver assigned is given the approver the Change Board now names, and that approver is told.
- To give one step of one request to somebody else, open Change Approvals and choose Change approver on that step. The person who raised the request cannot be named, and cannot change who reviews it.
