Automation rules: what runs on its own

Supply Chain > Automation Rules and CRM > Sales Automation Rules switch each automatic job on and set its limits. What a job may change is the company's autonomy level for the rule's key.

Each rule belongs to one background job. The rule says whether the job looks for work at all, and the limits it works inside: a value limit, a tolerance, a number of days, a score threshold, a list of reasons, or a strategy.

  • Notify (the default): the job finds the work and tells the people responsible. Nothing changes.
  • Approve: an approval is raised, and nothing changes until it is approved.
  • Act: the job does the work, through the same step a person would press, with the same checks (credit, budget, approval rules, segregation of duties).
  1. Open Supply Chain, Automation, Automation Rules (or CRM, Automation, Sales Automation Rules).
  2. Open a rule, switch it on, set its limits and save.
  3. Use Rehearse to see what the job would act on without changing anything.
  4. Use Arm schedule to switch the job's schedule on. It runs as you, so it can do only what your role can do. Switch schedule off stops it.

Every run is listed under Platform, Batch Jobs with what happened to each record and why.
