Assessment results: the maximum and the section’s students
A result can never be more than the assessment is out of, and an assessment set for a section takes results only for that section’s students — with Fill results from section to make the sheet from the class list.
Student Lifecycle → Teaching & Delivery → Assessments holds the quizzes, midterms and examinations of each section, and their results.
Held to the maximum
- A score cannot be below zero or above the assessment’s Points possible. The score box stops at the maximum, and a higher mark is refused with a message naming it — “out of 25”, for example.
- Points possible cannot be lowered below a mark already recorded. Correct the mark first.
Only the section’s students
Results of an assessment set for a section take only that section’s students. The student picker lists the section’s enrollments, and anybody else is refused.
- Open the assessment and choose Fill results from section.
- A result line is made for every student enrolled in the section, ready for the marks.
- Run it again after late enrollments: only the newcomers are added, and marks already entered are left alone.
