Organisation Chart views: reporting line, department, unit, position
The Organisation Chart can show the same people four ways. The view you pick is remembered for you.
HRMS, Workforce, Organisation Chart (/hrms/org-chart) opens with a toolbar: the four views on the left, then Find, Import hierarchy, Show approvers, Zoom, Fit, Expand all, Collapse all and Pop out.
- Reporting line: each manager with the people who report to them underneath.
- By department: each department (taken from the person's position) with its head named and marked Head. The head is whoever in the department reports to somebody outside it, or to nobody.
- By organisation unit: the organisation units as a tree, the unit's manager named as its head, and the people in each unit.
- By position: the position hierarchy (each position under its parent position), whoever holds each seat, and a Vacant card for every seat the headcount budget leaves empty.
- People are always in name order, then personnel number. A change keeps every branch open or closed as it was, the zoom and the scroll, and the person moved is brought into view and outlined.
- Open HRMS, Workforce, Organisation Chart.
- Choose Reporting line, By department, By organisation unit or By position in the toolbar.
- Use Find to jump to a person (for example <Asha Rao> or <EMP-000012>); the branches above them open.
