Putting a candidate forward for a job
Adding an application from either end — the candidate or the posting — in HRMS, and a submission in Talent & Contingent Workforce.
An application joins a person to a vacancy, and you are usually looking at one of the two when you decide to make it. So it can be started from either end.
| Where you are | Action | What you choose |
|---|---|---|
| HRMS → Recruiting & Onboarding → Candidates, a candidate | Apply to a posting | An open (live) posting, how they applied, and a cover note. |
| HRMS → Recruiting & Onboarding → Job Postings, a live posting | Add application | The candidate, how they applied, and a cover note. |
| Talent & Contingent Workforce → Talent → Contingent Candidates, a candidate | Submit to a job order | The job order, and notes. |
| Talent & Contingent Workforce → Orders & Postings → Placement Postings, a posting | Add a candidate | The candidate, and notes. |
Both ends make the same record — an application in HRMS, a submission in Talent & Contingent Workforce — with the same rules, so it does not matter which you start from. The new application appears on Applications (or Submissions) at its first stage.
